No much of life is happening now. Mostly work then balik rumah tidur. Just realized that I missed a National Geographic documentary on the human brain - My Brilliant Brian. Was disappointed. When I tried to searched it up for the material for this blog, Google Video came up with a result, the documentary without advertisement.

Too bad for the readers of my blog :) I'm now going to watch it and stop blogging. Buh bye :)

Cuz is in town

Few weeks ago when O'WEJ came, he agreed that we would have dinner together but then he was too busy. So we weren't able to catch up on each other. What to do.......

Last Tuesday, my cousin Jia Yan asked me on MSN whether I'm still in Manila and I said Yeah! She's here for a business trip, will be here for few days. She's staying in Peninsula which is a damn good hotel compared to my BSA Tower.

Arranged for a dinner at high-end local food restaurant, but the the food was so so only. After the dinner, we had ice-cream (my stalker colleague saw me but didn't say hi) and then accompanied her to buy something from the supermarket.

Walked her back to the hotel and visited her room. Damn nice I tell you........... The guys from Moto is also staying there. Pigs will sing song when my company decides to let me stay there.

After 1 year+ since we last met (remember guys, my dad's family are mostly Singaporeans), didn't expect to meet her in Manila. Sometimes life is so hard to believe.

Increment

9th Oct 2007 - 3 months here and it's time for confirmation, got a B rating (A is for people who joined with experience and manage to close a deal).

As Huawei's practice, upon confirmation an adjustment will be made on the salary. When I saw my adjustment, I was surprised. Generally everyone was impressed with my work, no other new recruit (pass/present) was assigned to manage a project with this scale (USDXXX,000,000) in the first 3 months.

When I asked my boss, does my RM200 increment reflect that you are not satisfied with my performance? He said, Increment? Really? You got an increment? Usually no one gets it, good for you.

Well, it's either he's talking crap or my big boss decides to give me something after my direct boss decides to give me nothing.

To put things into perspective, the worst I've heard is RM100+ (due to the low basic salary) and the best I've heard is RM600.

Will be a hard time here since my boss is the stingy type. To console myself, well, at least company like Maxis don't give increment upon confirmation, I should take it as something extra.

Further more, there's RM300 for phone and RM200 for traveling.

Hmmm............. hopefully by April (performance review), I will pass the RM5K mark :P

It's been 57days I'm in Pinoyland. Touched down yesterday. While I boarded the plane, the stewardess greeted me Good Evening and Welcome Home with a gentle smile.

Although I know they are trained to say it but then it feel so warm to hear Welcome Home, may be I miss home too much.

How long would I be staying here? 1 day, 21 hours, 30 minutes.

Why? I have to catch a flight to Macau 6am in the morning tomorrow.
