Ceh........... and I thought..............

Sir Ayala is the top 3 riches person in Pinoyland. The country's prime street is named after his name also, Ayala Avenue. He owns so many businesses, the one that relates to this blog is Ayala Land and Globe Telecoms.

The big dude told Globe, I want super fast wireless internet at my holiday villa. So we were asked to put up a trial site there and the journey begins. I'll cut the customs clearance, access pass, negotiation, transmission, installation, testing, debugging, blah blah blah crap so that you guys can enjoy this post more :D

Welcome to Anvaya Cove.

The first morning there, enjoying the view before getting busy with work.

Everyone's busy preparing for the soft-launch of the place.

There's a chipmunk spotted in between the engineers from Mainland. This is the admin/technical part of my job, monitor and control the progress of the technical team and some involvement to give me more hands on knowledge.

More pics around the pool

Catching sunset at the beautiful beach

Nice bar

The pre-sales part of my job. Prepared for a demo presentation to the GM of Anvaya Cove.

Sir Ayala himself wanted to see our thinga-ma-giggy do magic but unfortunately when we are done with everything, he's on his big viscous bike on a 4hour journey back to Manila already.

Damn Ghey

Last trip back to Malaysia, I was on my way to work in the train. The guy sitting beside me was wearing a Digi lanyard.

Work or personal, I decided to strike a casual conversation. Found out he was a sub-contractor for Digi. Tried to fish some information but to no avail, he doesn't mingle with CXO. We got off the train and life moves on.

He started to send friendly messages asking which part of the world I am, how am I, etc etc.

One fine day, the message started with him telling me he's on holiday, due to he had a circumcision surgery, then asking me to rest. OK, it's getting very awkward now, so I just ignore him.

Today, he sent me another message

"Hai there, how re u dude?just drop to say.Merry X'mas if u re celebrate if u not than happy holiday.takecare n do keep in touch.gd guys like u hard to find nowaday.keep it up"

Come on man, "gd guys like u hard to find nowaday"? You just met me in a train, how much you know about me?

What's wrong with this world?

Lucky/Unlucky Star

It was a long day. The day before I was at the trial site doing test drive (will blog about this next time) in the afternoon and was helping out with the paperwork of another project on the evening. Finished at 3am. Since I was so tired, I decided not to go to work the next day.

When I woke up, I remembered my colleague told me about a very good massage service. I got the number and called the center. I asked them to send someone over to my room. I’m sure you guys are getting some naughty images in your mind now but I assure you they are not what you think.

A mid aged masseur came and gave massage for 1 hour. As a whole, it was nice but at times it was a bit soft and she can’t really understand English. The most amazing thing to me is the price is only PHP250 which is about RM20. I must say it’s a great deal, 1 hour massage at the comfort of your own place. Even with the tips, its still so cheap, surely will recommend it to more people.

So what do I do when I’m at home? Watch National Geographic or Discovery Channel. Was walking towards the TV and my colleague called me to tell me there’s an ongoing coup and asked me to watch the news.

Although I came across this word many times before, it’s only today that I know it should be pronounced as coo/ku, as if saying the word cool without the L sound. Apparently, a senator was so pissed of with Arroyo that he wants to organize a coup with the help of a General and some priest to force her to step down.

After 6-7hours of drama, he surrendered and the government announced curfew from 12am to 5am. Story end.

Again, I missed the earthquake last Tuesday as I was at the site doing field test, my colleague told me it was quite strong at 53rd floor. For those who are afraid of natural disaster, please stay close to me. Boys, stay away.
